About Me

Welcome to Movement Mommy!

My name is Katelyn, and I’m proud to be Tyler’s wife, Bobby’s mommy, the soon-to-be mommy of another little one.

I work full time as a marketing coordinator for the local university, and I’m chipping away at a master’s degree in marketing and communications.

It’s important to me that you understand the context of the information I’m providing throughout this blog. I am not a medical specialist, and I have no formal training; however, my husband does. A chiropractor with extensive post-doctorate training in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stablization (DNS), Tyler has spent countless hours studying the development of infants and traveling the world to complete his certification in DNS.

What I have picked up along the way are the practical, day-to-day and hands-on tips that apply many of the concepts he has learned in terms of creating ideal movement for infants, children and adults. Basically, I have taken the research and medical suggestions he spouts and turned it into “stuff us moms can use.” Quite the feat!

With another baby on the way, now is the perfect time for me to brush up on my skills, and in doing so, I figured I would publish them here for other moms to read. As moms, we do what we think is best, and what works for us. Please just see the information here as something for you to consider.

And with that—enjoy!
